CAMIGUIN (PIA) — Teaching the youth their roles and responsibilities as active members of their communities, the local government of Camiguin organized the Youth Summit 2024, gathering high school students from across the province.
Participants were also educated on important issues such as cyberbullying, sex education, and mental health, equipping them with valuable knowledge to navigate these challenges.
Gov. Xavier Jesus Romualdo highlighted the importance of the event, stating, “Tungod niini, gihangyo nato nga magpadayon ang atong mga kabatan-onan sa pagtubo isip responsable nga indibidwal ug mangandam sa mga hagit sa kinabuhi.”
(Through this, we encourage our youth to continue growing as responsible individuals and prepare for life’s challenges.)
The summit aimed to teach practical skills, promote health and safety, and prepare the youth to become future leaders in their communities. Romualdo said this shows LGU Camiguin’s dedication to empowering the youth and preparing them for the challenges of a changing world.
