Palayan City Mayor Viandrei Nicole Cuevas and beneficiaries of Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program thanked President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the success of the first ever 4PH project in Nueva Ecija.
During Tuesday’s Kapihan sa DHSUD: Housing Matters, Mayor Cuevas and two beneficiaries of the Palayan City Township Project also expressed their gratitude to the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) for the successful implementation of the 4PH project in Barangay Atate.
A total of 22 buildings are being constructed in the 23-hectare development project under the flagship 4PH, with a target of around 6,300 housing units.
The Palayan City LGU has already started initial turn over of housing units in the condominium-type development, and continuously processing applicants.
By March, 1,076 units are set to be turned over to beneficiaries while an additional 1,076 units are also scheduled for completion and turn over in July.

“One of the biggest factors that made our township project successful was… of course, how affordable it was. Hindi po namin magagawa ‘yon kung hindi po dahil sa partnership po namin sa national government… and nakakuha po tayo ng subsidy through DHSUD,” Mayor Cuevas said.
She further emphasized the significance of the township concept, which includes essential infrastructure and amenities noting that this was achieved through the partnership with the national government saying, “we were able to get help from DHSUD. Para po maitayo po namin ang mga amenities and if you visit the township project, you’ll see the road networks are all developed. We have full electric and water sewage networks. All of these would not be possible without the partnership,” she added.
The Palayan City Township Project is open not only to the residents of Palayan City but to all interested Filipinos, citing the goal of the administration’s flagship housing program.
“I also want to say that this township project is open po sa lahat ng Nueva Ecijanos or anybody … basta interesado po sila mag avail ng unit po sa township project po naming, we’re more than happy to host them. Kasi ito naman po ay project ng ating Pangulo,” the mayor said.
Moises Jerickson Alejo, one of the beneficiaries of the township project, conveyed his appreciation to the program as it helped him realize his childhood dream of having his own home—with complete amenities, as a bonus.
Jovan Sohaco, another project beneficiary, expressed his expressed his gratitude to the President and urged everyone to take advantage of the opportunity.
DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar extended his gratitude to the Palayan City LGU for their dedication as he reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to seeing the project through.
“This is a testament to the strong commitment of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to ensure that all Filipinos will have access to their own safe, decent and affordable homes. Salamat sa Palayan City LGU for making this vision a reality,” Secretary Acuzar said.
In December, no less than President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos led the ceremonial awarding of housing units from the Palayan City Township Project under 4PH.
