‘Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels’ goes to Benguet

LA TRINIDAD, Benguet (PIA) — The Pag-IBIG Baguio Branch in partnership with the provincial government of Benguet  launched the Lingkod Pag-IBIG on Wheels (LPOW)  in the province to provide accessible, efficient, and focused services to its members.

During the flag raising ceremony on February 3, 2025 at the provincial capitol,  Pag-IBIG Baguio Branch Member Services Officer Leah Bernadette Dulay presented the LPOW or mobile office of the Pag-IBIG to serve the employees and  clients of the provincial government.

“Ang kagandahan po nitong ating LPOW truck ay dinadala na po natin ang ating mga services nearer to the offices of the provincial government. Dala na po natin ang truck, dala na din natin ang mga taong tutulong sa ating members and clients,” Dulay said.

“This is the goal of Pag-IBIG, to bring closer to the members the services of the Pag-IBIG Fund and Benguet is very lucky since sila po ang nauna,” she added.

Dulay said that the LPOW was launched to cater initially to  transactions in far-flung and underserved members and non-members but  it has been expanded to service offices and other establishments in various areas such as the provincial capitol.

Among the services  include membership registration, verification and updating of records, filing of multi-purpose loans and provident benefit claims, MP2 enrollment, housing loan inquiries, and application or  updating of loyalty card.

Governor Melchor Diclas said the program is helpful particularly to the employees who cannot leave their offices to  transact business at the  Pag-IBIG office in Baguio City. It also saves time and resources.

Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Abner Lawangen thanked the Pag-IBIG as he was able to update his membership and also avail of the Loyalty Card Plus through the LPOW.

“Medyo  busy po kasi tayo sa ating opisina kaya wala nang oras mamasyal at maki update sa Pag-IBIG, buti na lang at mayroon Pag-IBIG truck na pumunta dito sa capitol,” Lawangen said.

Meanwhile, the LPOW moved to the Benguet General Hospital, also in La Trinidad on February 5 and 6,   providing services to the employees  and clients of the hospital, as well as from the  nearby Municipal Hall and  Benguet State University.

Pag-IBIG hopes to roll out soon its mobile office to the different areas in Benguet. (JDP/ RMC- PIA CAR)
