PASIG CITY, (PIA) — Good news! In support of the 63rd Palarong Pambansa, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) announced free train rides at the LRT-2 for athletes and delegates of the prestigious sports event for student-athletes.
Free train rides include the following:
- Athletes
- Coaches and Trainers
- National and Local Committee Members
- Volunteers
- Technical Workers
- Officials
- Medical Staff
- Accredited Media
Athletes and delegates must present their ‘Palarong Pambansa ‘ID to avail of the free train rides which will be until August 5, 2023.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. led the opening ceremonies of the sports event on Monday, July 31 in Marikina City.
The President acknowledged the youth athletes as champions in their chosen sports. He also reminded them to compete with excellence, fairness, and integrity.
The President also recognized the efforts of the coaches, support staff, and families of student-athletes and the role they play in the success of the youth athletes.
Vice President Sara Duterte and some Metro Manila local chief executives also graced the occasion and showed support to student-athletes. (LRTA/PIA-NCR)
