LTO Pili Extension registers 12,000 motor vehicles in 2022

PILI, Camarines Sur (PIA)–  The Land Transportation Office (LTO) Pili Extension processed over 12,000 motor vehicle registrations and over 3,000 transactions, including  student licenses and student permits from June to December last year.

Last June 22, 2022, the LTO Pili extension office Drive-thru Motor Vehicle registration in Cadlan, Pili, Camarines Sur opened as the very first drive-thru facility in the entire Bicol Region and was inaugurated on August 25 of the same year.

“We provide fast and efficient service with the use of modern technology and the  new LTO IT system- the Land Transportation Management System. There is no need to miss work or file a leave of absence just to have your car registered or license renewed because you can complete your transaction in less than an hour, ”  Pili Extension Office Officer-In-Charge and Transportation Regulation Officer II Frederick C Torrecampo said.

The LTO’s Drive-thru registration service allowed busy motorists to complete their transactions in a short period of time, even without getting out of their vehicles and without the hassle of queuing.

Torrecampo added that the Pili Extension office introduced the Drive-thru Motor Vehicle (MV) Renewal as an innovation for public service, and to utilize modern technology for fast and efficient transaction.

The Drive-thru facility processes vehicle inspection, emission, TPL insurance, LTO motor vehicle evaluation and payment of registration.

“Actually, this innovation was born out of the COVID-19 pandemic when we are limiting face to face transactions to avoid the spread of the COVID virus. It also aligns with the ‘Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018,’ which streamlines current government systems and procedures,” Torrecampo stated.

This newest facility of LTO has gained public praise and satisfaction due to its efficient service, courteous employees and hassle-free transactions.

“We look forward to more satisfied clients as we continue to uphold the government’s mantra: public service is a public trust. “We intend to maintain our fast and efficient service without jeopardizing public safety or vehicle roadworthiness,” Torrecampo said.
