MAKATI CITY, (PIA) — The City Government of Makati and Fujifilm Philippines launched the Fujifilm Philippines Medical Service Center here.
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay-Campos graced the grand opening and welcomed Fujifilm in Makati.
Mayor Binay was joined by Fujifilm Philippines President Masahiro Uehara, Embassy of Japan in the Philippines First Secretary and Health Attaché Dr. Aoki Fumiko, Managing Director of Fujifilm Healthcare Asia Pacific Noriyuki Kawakubo, and Fujifilm Philippines Vice President & General Manager of Medical Division Takashi Miyako.
In her message, Binay emphasized the importance of partnerships between the government and the business sector to serve better the citizens of Makati.

Earlier this month, the city government launched of Fujifilm’s FDR Xair portable X-ray system at the Makati City Hall.
The local chief executive emphasized that the portable X-ray unit is a crucial solution in the fight to end the TB problem in the Philippines.
Binay likewise highlighted that Makati will extend the use of the portable X-ray to sister cities, especially those in rural settings where access to medical facilities, doctors, and essential resources is limited.
This initiative aims to bridge the healthcare gap, ensuring that even the most remote and underserved populations can benefit from advanced TB detection and care. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
