MANILA, (PIA) — In a bid to enhance health service delivery, the Malabon City government held a blessing and ceremonial turnover for the new “LAB for ALL” medical van on Monday.
Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the inauguration, joined by Mr. William Vincent “Vinny” Marcos, son of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., along with Newport World Resorts Foundation Executive Director Atty. Walter Mactal and Ospital ng Malabon Chief Dr. Jennifer Amolo Lim.
The event also saw attendance from Newport Resorts Foundation Acting Director for Corporate Communications Ms. Joy Andrade, PR Officer Mr. Judd Jhocson, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation Senior Manager II Ms. Angelie Agustin, and Regulatory Officer Marisse Sabido, along with city department heads and employees.
The “LAB for ALL” program, a flagship initiative of the First Lady in partnership with Newport World Resorts, aims to provide accessible medical and laboratory services to various communities, particularly the indigenous population.
The program’s slogan, “Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot para sa Lahat” (Laboratory, Consultation, and Medicine for All), underscores its commitment to delivering healthcare regardless of socioeconomic background or geographical location.
The 22-foot-long medical van is equipped with a hematology analyzer for complete blood counts, a chemistry analyzer for blood tests, as well as x-ray, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram (ECG) machines.
Mayor Sandoval highlighted the van’s significance as a vital asset in the city’s healthcare initiatives.
“Ang LAB for ALL Medical van ay malaking tulong para sa mga Malabueño dahil nailalapit nito ang mga serbisyong medikal sa lahat, lalo na sa mga higit na nangangailangan,” she said. (The LAB for ALL Medical van is a great help for Malabueños because it brings medical services closer to everyone, especially those who need it the most.)
She expressed gratitude to First Lady Marcos and Newport World Resorts for selecting Malabon as a recipient of the medical vans.
“Makakaasa kayo na mas marami pang serbisyong pangkalusugan ang ating gagawin upang masigurong malusog ang Malabueño tungo sa progreso at pag-unlad,” the mayor added, assuring residents of ongoing health service improvements. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
