Malabon launches first financial aid distribution for 2025

MANILA, (PIA) — As the celebration of love month begins, Mayor Jeannie Sandoval announced the launch of the first financial aid distribution for 2025, aimed at bringing essential support closer to the community.

During this time, let us show love for one another. Together, we can make a difference, no matter the challenges we face,” Mayor Sandoval said.

The City Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Office reported that 86,674 qualified holders of the Malabon Ayuda Blue Card (MABC) can start withdrawing their financial aid from BancNet-powered ATMs or any Universal Storefront Services Corporation (USSC) branches nationwide beginning February 14 at 8 a.m. until February 28 at 11:59 p.m.

Beneficiaries will receive a notification from the USSC once their first ayuda is available for claiming. Additionally, the MABC team plans to post a link listing qualified residents on its official Facebook page.

MEAL officials reminded Malabueños to take good care of their MABCs and to promptly contact the USSC for issues such as PIN updates or lost and damaged cards. To prevent complications during the claiming process, residents are advised to keep their MABCs dry and avoid physical damage.

On the same day, Mayor Sandoval also led the soft launch of the MABC Eskwela Savings Program for Grade 1 students, which aims to encourage young learners to save money for their future.

Each beneficiary will receive a savings account with an initial deposit of P1,000.

This initiative was initially announced during the Walang Tulugan Serbisyo Caravan 4.0 on January 14, alongside the new MABC Para Sa Kababaihan program designed to empower solo parents in the city.

This is the ninth ayuda under the Malabon Ahon Blue Card since its launch in 2022. The Malabon City government, under Mayor Jeannie Sandoval’s leadership, remains committed to providing programs that support our residents,” City Administrator Dr. Alexander Rosete said. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
