MANILA, (PIA) — In a bid to enhance healthcare programs for its residents, the Malabon City government has partnered with Cocolife Insurance to provide health insurance for its employees.
Mayor Jeannie Sandoval announced the initiative, emphasizing the importance of employee well-being in delivering public services.
(We know that it is important to take care of our health, especially now that the weather is unpredictable and we continue to serve our beloved Malabueños.)
(The role played by our employees is crucial to our goal of continuously uplifting the city. That is why we have worked hard to implement this program, as it is a priority for us to ensure their safety and assist them with their medical needs.)
Under the Cocolife Healthcare program, all permanent, coterminous, temporary, and seconded city government employees will be covered by a comprehensive health insurance plan.
Benefits include in-patient and out-patient care, emergency services, preventive care, annual physical examinations, life insurance, dental services, and more.
Each beneficiary can access a maximum benefit limit of P80,000 per disability, with medical procedures for pre-existing conditions covered up to 50 percent of that limit.
Beneficiaries will also receive life insurance, which provides P20,000 for natural death and P40,000 for accidental death.
The local government noted that this comprehensive healthcare program aims to ensure employees have access to medical services and treatment, ultimately reducing absenteeism and turnover rates.
Additionally, the Malabon City government has partnered with the Philippine Red Cross to offer accidental death, disablement, and dismemberment insurance, along with burial aid for casual and job order employees.
(We believe that the delivery of services and programs to our constituents will be better if our employees are healthy, protected, and assured that they will receive help when they need it.)
(As we continue our efforts towards a better Malabon, you can be assured that the city government will not neglect anyone and will continue to implement health programs for all.)
