MANILA, (PIA) — Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and the Malabon local government were honored for their exceptional leadership and commitment to sustainable development at the Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards 2024, held at the Grand Ballroom of Okada Manila in Parañaque City on November 28.

Mayor Sandoval received the “Local Chief Executive of the Year (Gold Category)” award, while Malabon City was recognized as the “Most Sustainable and Liveable City.” These accolades highlight the local government’s successful implementation of sustainability programs and initiatives.

These awards are a testament not to an individual, but to the spirit of the people of Malabon—their resilience, their dedication, and their shared hope for a brighter tomorrow,” Mayor Sandoval said during her acceptance speech.

In her remarks, the mayor highlighted key sustainability initiatives, including the Malabon Ahon Blue Card, which alleviates financial burdens and enhances healthcare access for vulnerable residents.

Mayor Jeannie also mentioned the electronic Business One Stop Shop, designed to streamline business processes and promote economic growth, and the One Barangay One Product program, which showcases the unique history and culture of the city’s 21 barangays.
