CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY (PIA)– To bring about the yuletide season’s good tidings with friends and family, Limketkai Luxe Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City held a Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 9, 2023, with a total of 11 fresh Christmas trees from the United States.
Jerome dela Fuente, general manager, Limketkai Luxe Hotel, shared that using fresh pine trees from the US has been a tradition since managing the hotel. Now that he is back, he wants to continue the tradition and make Christmas the Limketkai way.
“To me, we just came back from COVID; I always look for the 2024 future; it signals the opening; you can see it from our reservation book; any untoward incidents we will still make for next year. I want them to come to Cagayan de Oro to see for themselves what Cagayan de Oro has to offer; what I want is that all the hotels get their share of the business,” he said.
Dr. Emily Ravalo-Ceballos, a guest at the event, expressed her gratitude for being part of the ceremony.
“As with the tree lighting, of course, it reminds us that Christ is born, and it is a time to rejoice as we celebrate the blessings that we have in our lives. I am very thankful that I was invited to this prestigious event by Sir Jerome of Luxe,” she said.
Meanwhile, City Councilor Imee Moreno shared that the main reason for the celebration is the birth of Christ; the true moment that we share is peace, love, joy, and respect for each other. (JMOR/PIA-10)
