MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA) — Mambajao National High School now boasts a newly constructed 615-square-meter covered court, providing a safe and weatherproof space for practices, activities, and commencements.
Regardless of the weather, this facility, with assistance from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-10, offers a more comfortable environment for both students and teachers.

Beyond school use, the covered court also serves the wider Mambajao community in Camiguin, doubling as an evacuation center and a hub for distributing relief goods and medical assistance during emergencies.
“Dako kaayo’g tabang sa mga bata, since naa na gyud bag-o nga activity area ang mga bata na dili na safe sila kontra sa ulan ug init (It’s a big help for the children since they now have a new activity area where they are safe from the rain and heat),” said Mayor Yñigo Jesus Romualdo. He also encouraged the students to care for the court and remain focused on their studies.
The mayor said the establishment of the facility shows Mambajao’s dedication to supporting both education and community resilience. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
