MAMBAJAO, Camiguin (PIA) — Empowering youth with entrepreneurial skills and fostering creativity, the local government here recently held the Mambajao Youthpreneurship Program, dubbed “Game On: Level Up Your Skills in Business Management, Marketing, and Legal Know-How.”
Held over two days, the program provided 25 participants with essential skills to transform their business ideas into viable ventures.

The activity highlighted topics like business management, marketing strategies, and legal basics. Melanie N. Sabacajan and Lawyer Nicole Beatrice San Juan-Romualdo delivered insightful lectures, while interactive workshops prepared participants for real-world business challenges.
There were also practical discussions on business production and financial management. Khline Ford Borres and Engr. Niel Benedict A. Cabañero from DICT guided participants with strategies for sustainable operations and effective financial planning. Their expertise helped participants critically evaluate their business plans, preparing them to succeed in the competitive business landscape.
Ang among buhaton after sa mga sessions makahimo sila og business proposal, and murag contest, i-defend nila, mag-choose dayon mi, maybe top 3. Maghatag dayon mi og seed money to start their business.“
(We created the Youthpreneurship Program to unleash the creativity of the youth, not only in sports, arts, or school but also in starting businesses. After the sessions, they will create a business proposal, which will be defended like a contest. We will then choose, maybe the top three, and provide seed money to help them start their businesses.)

The program not only fosters creativity and innovation but also provides participants with a tangible opportunity to start their businesses. As Romualdo emphasized, the initiative aims to uplift the local economy and empower the youth to achieve personal and economic growth. (RTP/PIA-10/Camiguin)
