Manila lgu partners with companies to provide jobs, trainings for residents

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) –The City Government of Manila, through the Public Employment Service Office – Manila, signed memoranda of agreement with Golden Arches Development Corporation, Oceana Maritime and Naval Consultancy Corp. (OMNCC), and Philippine Business for Social Progress, Inc. (PBSP) on Thursday, September 7.

Margot Torres, Managing Director of Golden Arches Development Corporation, informed Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna that Mcdonald’s Philippines will be providing jobs to 80 senior citizens in 39 McDo stores in the city.

Meanwhile, Jeremias Simon, Chief Executive Officer of OMNCC said they will offer free basic automotive and welding courses to Manilans in hope of equipping them with skills for better job opportunities.

PBSP manger Niza Magundacan, along with Russel Gonzales of Accenture will offer more training opportunities for those interested in hairdressing by L’Oreal Philippines and call center training by Accenture.

Residents of the City are advised to wait for particulars on the above employment opportunities and trainings that will be announced by the Public Employment Service Office – Manila in their official FB account. (pia-ncr)
