MANILA, (PIA) — The City of Manila on Tuesday opened the Manila Animal Shelter and Pound located at Vitas in Tondo.
Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan led the inauguration and was joined by Veterinary Inspection Board Director Dr. Nick Santos, Biyaya Animal Foundation co-founder, Ms. Rina Ortiz, and city officials.
The Biyaya Animal Foundation is the city government’s partner in providing vaccination for pets.
Likewise, a new slaughterhouse also in Vitas was inaugurated to ensure safer and cleaner slaughtering of animals. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
