Manila Police gives safety tips for Feast of Sto. Niño

MANILA, (PIA) — In line with the upcoming feast of the Sto. Niño in Tondo and Pandacan, Manila on January 19, the Manila Police District (MPD) gives safety reminders to devotees and the public.

The MPD advises devotees to wear comfortable clothes, stay hydrated, and bring extra drinking water.

Authorities also appealed to the public to avoid to the public especially senior citizens, pregnant, and those who are sick to avoid participating in the celebration.

Parents and guardians are also advised to avoid bringing infants and young kids. Likewise, authorities prohibit people who are intoxicated with alcohol.

Meanwhile, MPD also released advisories on road closures from January 18 (Saturday) until January 19 (Sunday), and rerouting in line with the celebration.

Motorists and the public are advised to take alternate routes to avoid inconvenience. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
