MANILA, (PIA) — Few weeks before the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day (Undas), the City Government of Manila issued reminders for visitors and the public to the Manila North and South Cemeteries.
The Manila North and South Cemeteries will be open from October 30 (Wednesday) to November 3 (Sunday), from 5:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
The city government said firearms and all kinds of sharp objects such as knives, cutters, spatula, etc. will not be allowed inside the cemeteries.
Alcohol and any kind of intoxicating drinks are also prohibited. Pets such as dogs, cats, etc. are also not allowed.
Loud sound systems and guitars are also prohibited.
Likewise, flammable materials, cigarettes, and lighters will not be allowed inside.

Meanwhile, vendors will be permitted inside the cemeteries. Children will also be allowed. However, children must have a Manila Department of Social Welfare tag for easy identification.
The city government also reminds that only tents and tarps from them are permitted. Political tarps will be banned inside the cemeteries.
For safety of visitors and the public, ambulances and doctors from the city government will be on standby, with hospitals (Tondo, Sampaloc, Sta. Ana) will be ready during emergencies.
To ensure peace and order, the Manila Police District will deploy some of its personnel starting October 27 (Sunday) and be in full force by October 30 (Wednesday).
Portalets will also be placed in various locations inside the cemetery.
Visitors and the public are also advised that vehicles will not be allowed on October 30 to November 3. Burials or cremation are likewise temporarily suspended on said dates.
For cleaning and repairs inside the cemeteries, the public is advised that it will be allowed only until October 26, Saturday.
