MANTICAO, MISAMIS ORIENTAL (PIA) — Manticao was hailed as the 40th local government unit (LGU) awardee of the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), following its compliance with establishing a fully streamlined and digitalized electronic business one-stop shop (eBOSS). ARTA Secretary Ernesto V. Perez himself awarded Manticao town with its Certificate of Commendation on July 2.
The ceremonial awarding took place to recognize LGU Manticao’s efforts and compliance with the mandates of Republic Act 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Law.
Perez commended Manticao for their compliance, saying, “Your commitment to innovation and streamlining bureaucracy is truly commendable. I’m so glad that the municipality of Manticao receives today that commendation or recognition for being the 40th LGU out of the more than 1,480 LGUs.”
Manticao Municipal Mayor Stephen Tan personally received the award and expressed his gratitude to ARTA, saying, “I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to ARTA Secretary Ernesto Perez for personally awarding this Certificate of Commendation and for recognizing our efforts to improve our processes.”
Furthermore, Vice Mayor Roberto Lagrosas affirmed their commitment to complying with national policies in order to improve their public service delivery.
“I’ll make sure that the local government of Manticao will be hand in hand to implement and observe what is ARTA law,” he said.
Together with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Department of Communications and Technology, and the Department of Trade and Industry, ARTA will continuously recognize the efforts of LGUs who are committed to complying with RA 11032.
Misamis Oriental Provincial Governor Peter M. Unabia, DILG Provincial Director Engr. Marisia C. Naybe, DTI Division Chief Engr. Angelo A. Devero, DICT Regional Director Sittie Rahma V. Alawi, and ARTA Northern Mindanao Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Jutchel Nayra attended the event.
