MANILA, (PIA) — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. delivered the commencement address at the inaugural One DAP Graduation ceremony held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City, Friday.

The event, themed “Galing at Husay: Lingkod ng Bayan tungo sa Bagong Pilipinas,” celebrated the achievements of the 661 Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) scholars who currently hold senior or middle management positions in various organizations, and have successfully completed rigorous training and diverse programs.
In his speech, President Marcos emphasized the graduates’ readiness to contribute to national progress and impactful governance.

“As graduates of the prestigious DAP, you are called upon now to condider how you can contribute to the noble, yet formidable pursuit of public service,” he said.
Marcos added that their journey has equipped them with the tools necessary to make meaningful contributions to society.
The graduates were conferred with Master’s Degrees in Public Management, Development Management, and Productivity and Quality Management, marking a significant milestone in their professional development.
This ceremony not only recognizes their accomplishments but also underscores DAP’s commitment to fostering transformative leaders for a “Bagong Pilipinas.”
Founded in 1973, the DAP has been instrumental in providing training, education, and policy-oriented research to various government entities, including national agencies, local government units, and other constitutional bodies.
The academy’s mission continues to focus on enhancing public service and governance through comprehensive educational programs and technical assistance.
