Marcos lauded over completion of Vizcaya farm-to-market road

ARITAO, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) – Consistent with the administration’s food security program, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the completion of an enhancement project that effectively transformed an alley into an accessible farm-to-market road in Barangay Kirang in this locality.

With an access road now in place, farmers lauded President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr., whom they described as “a heeding leader.”

Barangay chair Delfin Reniedo, himself a farmer, also cited the DPWH for completing the road project connecting their village to Aritao town proper and the municipality of Kayapa.

According to Chairman Reniedo, the widened road section, which forms part of the Kayapa-Benguet alternate road, is deemed crucial for local farmers who have been transporting agricultural products to the Nueva Vizcaya Agricultural Terminal in nearby Bambang town.

“Before the road widening, accidents frequently happen because the alley is not even designed to accommodate that many vehicles or stand the weight of the agricultural products being transported,” Chairman Reniedo said in the vernacular.

“But with the President heeding our humble request, what we have today is not just a wider farm-to-market road but a safer access,” added the village chief. (OTB/BME/PIA NVizcaya)
