Marinduque Prov’l Hospital conducts Family Planning Outreach Program

BOAC, Marinduque (PIA) — The personnel of Marinduque Provincial Hospital (MPH) recently conducted its Family Planning Outreach Program in the province wherein 31 individuals benefited from it.

The said event was a collaborative effort of the Population Commission (PopCom) under the guidance of Dr. Luis Gonzales in partnership with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), OIC Chief of Provincial Hospital Dr. Annette Macayaon, Provincial Health Office (PHO), DKT Pharmaceuticals and the provincial government of Marinduque.

It aims to provide accessible family planning services to the community with one male who underwent a vasectomy and 30 female patients who underwent bilateral tubal ligation.

The initiative received overwhelming support from the medical field including dedicated doctors, nurses, and hospital staff. The activity underscores the importance of collective efforts in advancing healthcare accessibility and family planning awareness.
