MANILA, (PIA) — Caloocan City Mayor Dale “Along” Malapitan personally visited various evacuation centers in the city to distribute relief packs to evacuees amid tropical storm Enteng.
Malapitan visited various evacuation sites in Mountain Heights, Barangay 183; Camarin D Elementary School, Barangay 178; and Malaria, Barangay 185.
The city government likewise provided them with hot meals, medicine, vitamins, and hygiene kits.
A total of 632 Caloocan residents affected by Typhoon Enteng were evacuated from their homes and provided with medical services, hot meals, and other basic necessities through the combined efforts of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) and the City Social Welfare Development Department (CSWDD) during the onlaught of “Enteng” and habagat.
Mayor Along, meanwhile, assured his constituents that the city government will continue to be in high alert to effectively monitor and immediately respond to any emergency situation brought by the said tropical cyclone. (JCO/PIA-NCR)
