Mayor Honey, officials lead send-off ceremony for Traslacion 2025

MANILA, (PIA) — Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan, together with officials from Quiapo Church, and partner government agencies on Monday led the send-off ceremony at the Quirino Grandstand for this year’s Traslacion in celebration of the Feast of Nazareno.

Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan commended the men and women of the police force and armed forces for their dedication and courage to ensure the safety and order of devotees during the celebration.

Likewise, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief PGen Rommel Francisco D. Marbil highlighted the collective efforts needed to ensure a peaceful and safe event. He emphasized the importance of service, professionalism, and respect in fulfilling the mission beyond mere security.

Over 14,500 personnel from the PNP, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Health, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Philippine Red Cross, City Government of Manila, and other national government agencies are deployed to support devotees of the Nazareno.
