Metro Manila LGUs receive 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Award

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Local government units (LGUs) in Metro Manila bagged the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance for 2024.

For this year, 14 LGUs of Metro Manila are part of the 714 awardees who have displayed their commitment to excellence in public service and dedication to the principles of good governance for setting remarkable standard for local leadership.

The Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), an institutionalized award, incentive, honor, and recognition-based program, remains steadfast in its pledge to promote inclusive and people-centric reforms. Its commitment lies in continuously empowering local government units (LGUs) to nurture a culture off good governance amidst the challenges in an ever-evolving local government milieu.

This year’s winners for the National Capital Region are the cities of Manila, Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Pasay, Pasig, San Juan, Valenzula, and Quezon City.

The SGLG celebrates a decade of recognizing and incentivizing LGUs for their commitment to good governance practices, as embodies in the theme “Isang Dekada ng Pagkilala sa Tapat at Mahusay na Pamamahala.”
