SYUDAD SANG ILOILO (PIA) — Ginkilala sang Department of Agriculture Western Visayas (DA-WV) ang mga talalupangdon nga binuhatan sang Agricultural Extension Workers (AEWs) sa ginpatigayon nga 2024 High-Value Crops Achievers Awards ceremony sang Nobyembre 19 sa Zuri Hotel, Iloilo City.
Ang ini nga aktibidad ginkilala ang napulo ka AEWs humalin sa nagkalain-lain nga kaprobinsyahanan kag kabanwahanan sa Western Visayas bangud sa ila talalupangdon nga kontribusyon sa High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP). Ang ini nga mga ginpasidunggan gindayaw sa ila dedikasyon sa paghatag, pagmonitor sang mga programa kag proyekto, kag pagpasanyog sang tayuyon nga pag-uswag sang produksyon sang high-value crops.
Suno kay DA-WV Regional Technical Director for Research and Regulations Zarlina Cuello, ang Achievers Awards nagaserbe bilang una nga tikang sa pagpalig-on sang inobasyon, kolaborasyon, kag pagpadako sang sektor sang high-value crops sa rehiyon.

Dugang pa niya nga ila mga binuhatan nagasiguro sang koneksyon sang gobyerno sa mga importante nga sektor bangud sila ang nagapakig-angot sa mga mangunguma sa pang-adlaw-adlaw nga ti-on.
“Without you, the government would disconnect with the farmers, who are the most important members of our sectors. You’re the ones in touch with them daily, and we cannot do our work without you. This awarding ceremony is a tribute to your dedication and belief in what you do,” suno kay Dela Cruz.

- Christy E. Enano – Agricultural Technologist, Igbaras, Iloilo
- Mary Grace C. Alimpuyo – Agricultural Technologist, Jordan, Guimaras
- Heide V. Occeña – Farm Superintendent, Sipalay City, Negros Occidental
- Rogelio V. Villaruel – Farm Worker II, Jamindan, Capiz
- Ronald F. Trinio – Environment Extension Worker, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental
- Mary Anne S. Janoya – Agricultural Technologist, Nabas, Aklan
- John Lene Peniel F. Acanto – Agriculturist II, Pototan, Iloilo
Ang tagsa ka awardee nakabaton sang plaque of recognition kag cash prize nga nagabalor P20,000.
“Through these awards, we aim to inspire a higher standard of service and reinforce our collaboration with LGUs for the continuous development of the HVC industry,” siling ni DA-WV High-Value Crops Development Program focal person Jonifer Frades.
Naghatag man sang iya testimonya ang isa sa mga 2024 outstanding municipal AEWs nga si Ismael Montiflor halin sa La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
“For us AEWs, this award is not just a source of motivation. It represents the legacy we leave for our farmers. We create a legacy for them because it feels good knowing that we’ve made a difference in their lives through the technologies and interventions we bring from the government,” siling ni Montiflor.
