DUMAGUETE CITY, Negros Oriental (PIA) – Gipasigarbo sa Philippine Science High School (PSHS) –Central Visayas Region ug sa Department of Science and Technology (DOST) ang pagkamamogna-on sa inobasyon sa mga tinun-an sa Rehiyon 7 sa gipahigayong Regional Science and Technology Week (RSTW) dinhi sa dakbayan.
Naglangkob kini og mga kumpetisyon sama sa Sumobot, line follow robotics, research paper competition ug science and mathematics quiz bowl.
Gipasidunggan sa opisyal sa PSHS ang mga tinun-an na nangapil sa kumpetisyon sa RSTW.
“I appreciate your passion and perseverance for all the pursuit of science and mathematics. To further enhance your skills in science and mathematics, study with us at Philippine Science High School. We offer the premier secondary education focused on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics from Grade 7 to 12,” sumala ni PSHS – Central Visayas Campus Director Dr. Rachel Luz Rica sa iyang mensahe sa pagbukas sa Sci-Math Quiz Bowl Final Round.
Gipahigayon ang mga kumpetisyon sa Robinsons Place Dumaguete na gi apilan og tinun-an gikan sa 11 ka mga tunghaan sa Cebu, Bohol, Negros Oriental, ug Siquijor.
Matod ni Atty. Gilbert Arbon, ang provincial director sa DOST – Negros Oriental, tumong aning kalihukan na mapaambit sa katawhan ang talento ug kaalam sa mga nagtuon og science, technology, and mathematics (STEM) courses.
“They are here to promote not only the scholarship program of Philippine Science High School but also to encourage STEM education among our students. There will be a lot of interesting projects showcased here, projects of students, and I think there also exhibitors from academe, tertiary higher education,” matod ni Arbon.
Usa sa mga nakadaog sa mga kumpetisyon sa RSTW ang 18-anyos na si Keanna Chantal Montalbo na gikan sa Minglaninilla Science High School sa Cebu.
Iya nadag-an ang unang pwesto sa research poster competition.
“We would like to give our greatest gratitude especially sa institution for giving us a place nga maka-express jud mi sa amoang mga ideas ug unsa amoang mga capabilities ug unsa among mga pwede nga mahatag sa society,” matod ni Montalbo.
