Migcawayan Tribal Agri-Cooperative graduates shine with innovative coco products

DAMULOG, Bukidnon (PIA)–The Migcawayan Tribal and Agricultural Cooperative recently celebrated the completion of its members from a comprehensive three-month Farm Business School (FBS) program.

The culmination of this intensive training was an engaging presentation of their business plans to representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), and the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA).

The cooperative’s innovative product line, featuring virgin coconut oil, coconut cool juice, coco vinegar, and coco crispy patties, captivated the audience and showcased the members’ newfound entrepreneurial spirit.

The Migcawayan Cooperative, ATI, and the Damulog LGU collaborated to establish the Farm Business School, equipping participants with the skills to start profitable farming businesses.

The program covered a wide range of topics, including farm management, financial literacy, marketing, and product development.

The graduates’ business plans, meticulously crafted during the program, highlighted the potential of their unique coco-based products on their September 5 graduation.

The virgin coconut oil, known for its health benefits, is extracted using traditional methods, ensuring its purity and quality. The coconut cool juice, a refreshing and hydrating beverage, offers a healthy alternative to sugary drinks. The coco vinegar, a versatile ingredient for cooking and preserving, provides a natural and flavorful option. Finally, the coco crispy patties, a delicious and nutritious snack, are made with locally sourced ingredients, promoting sustainable practices.

The enthusiastic response from the DTI, ATI, and PCA representatives further solidified the cooperative’s bright future. The agencies have expressed willingness to provide support and guidance to the Migcawayan Cooperative, including access to resources, training programs, and marketing opportunities.
