TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)–The Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental inaugurated, October 4, the by-pass and diversion roads of the Mt. Malindang Eco Tourism bypass Highway, Tituron-Villaba-Salimpuno- Kimat Section, Tangub City, and other infrastructure projects in the city of Tangub.
The inauguration was led by Governor Henry Oaminal, Tangub Mayor Ben Canama, Vice Mayor Tito Decena, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), the Provincial Engineering Office, board members, city officials, and barangay officials.
Oaminal said this bridge slope protection and other infrastructure were inaugurated because of the love of the government and the love of the leadership of Asenso in Tangub and the province of Misamis Occidental.
“Niining atong pag-inaugurate, kini usa lamang ka symbolic nga kalihokan nga kami inyong governor, mayor, atong vice governor, board members ug ang atong duha ka congressman nagmahal ka ninyo ug ang among kalipay nga among gilantaw, sukli sa maong pagmahal nga kamo magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon [In this inauguration, this is only a symbolic event that we, your governor, mayor, our vice governor, board members, and our two congressmen, love you and our happiness that we see; in return for that love, you will stay together peaceful, prosperous, and happy,” he shared.
He thanked Rep. Ando Oaminal for continuing his projects and programs for infrastructure development in the city of Tangub and District II.
Aside from the road opening, the province also inaugurated the slope protection of Migcanaway Bridge 1 and Panalsalan Bridge 2 and the widening of the permanent Bridge of Panalsalan along Ozamiz-Pagadian Road, Tangub City, to improve accessibility and boost economic activity in the province of Misamis Occidental.
The projects have a total allocation of P39.2 million (Migcanaway Bridge 1), P29.4 million (Panalsalan Bridge 2), and P31.6 million (permanent Bridge of Panalsalan).
These infrastructure projects are part of the ongoing efforts of the provincial government leadership to provide Msamisnons and tourists with safe and efficient bridges for travel.
They also inaugurated the P1.4 million multi-purpose building in Tangub, the P39.2 million construction and concreting of barangay roads, and the installation of 231 solar street lights in Tangub City.
Meanwhile, Oaminal also graced the ribbon-cutting ceremony during the inauguration of a newly-constructed building at the Doña Maria D. Tan Memorial Hospital Building and Facilities in Barangay Mantic, Tangub City.
Oaminal expressed optimism that medical and health care services in the town would improve, and residents of nearby municipalities would likewise benefit.

This project comprises the following: 6 private rooms with 1 bed and toilet per room; 2 semi-private rooms with 5 beds and 1 toilet; 2 semi-private rooms with 3 beds and toilet; 4 wards with 7 beds and 1 toilet; 2 areas for a nurse station with 1 toilet each; 1 electrical room; 1 janitor’s closet; 1.6 meters with a hallway that is open to all wards; a new guard house with a walkway connected to the new hospital building.
For his part, Tangub Mayor Ben Canama thanked the governor for extending projects to his city of Tangub.
