(Our province has 490 barangays. We have delivered the first 300 and the 400th today in the 11 months of the Asenso Administration. Our provincial government, in two years, allocated P440 million for the procurement of vehicles.)
Oroquieta City Mayor Lemuel Meyrick Acosta expressed his gratitude, highlighting the project’s impact on delivering essential services to the community. Barangay Captain Ambisionado Gabrinez Jr. from Barangay Lumipac, Baliangao, also shared his thanks, noting how the new vehicle addresses residents’ needs during emergencies, especially calamities.
These new units are part of the fourth batch of rescue vehicles distributed by the provincial government. Other beneficiaries will soon receive the next batch of vehicles.
The provincial government provided funding for these transport vehicles, with support from Misamis Occidental’s 1st and 2nd Districts. This distribution aligns with the provincial government’s programs on peace and order, health, agriculture, tourism, education, and sports, aiming to empower village officials to efficiently deliver basic services to their constituents.
The distribution of these rescue vehicles is a testament to the Asenso administration’s dedication to public safety and community welfare. (PGMO/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
