MMDA rolls out ‘Recyclables Mo, Palit Grocery Ko’ in Marikina

MARIKINA CITY, (PIA) — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) rolled out its “Recylables Mo, Palit Grocery Ko” project in Brgy. Fortune, Marikina City.

Over 514 kilos of recyclables were collected at the MMRF Collection at Market Day, led by officials of the MMDA Solid Waste Management Office (SWMO) and Marikina City officials.

According to MMDA, each kilo of recyclables has equivalent points in exchange for grocery items such as canned food, instant noodles, and rice.

The project is one of the initiatives under the Metro Manila Flood Management Project that aims to reduce flooding in Metro Manila. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
