MMFF extends showing to January 14

QUEZON CITY (PIA) – Moviegoers can still watch the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) until January 14, 2025, in select cinemas.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) and MMFF Chairperson Atty. Don Artes expressed heartfelt gratitude to moviegoers for their continued support of the MMFF.

“We, at the MMFF, are overwhelmed with the continued support of the public for the festival’s 50th edition. Due to public clamor, we have decided to extend the theatrical run of the MMFF movies to further showcase the locally produced films that are truly impressive and artistically excellent,” Artes said.

He also shared the MMDA’s optimism that the 2024 MMFF earnings will continue to grow.

MMFF complimentary passes will also be valid until January 14.

The MMFF is organized by the MMDA to promote and preserve Philippine cinema. The festival’s proceeds will benefit several film industry organizations, including the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation (Mowelfund), the Film Academy of the Philippines, the Motion Picture Anti-Film Piracy Council, the Optical Media Board, and the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP).
