Mountain Province PLGU hosts post-Lang ay job fair

BONTOC, Mountain Province (PIA) — The Department of Labor and Employment in collaboration with the provincial local government unit of Mountain Province and various line agencies, held a post Lang-ay Job Fair to provide opportunities for job seekers to find meaningful employment.

“Today is all about opportunities, whether you’re a fresh graduate, out of school, looking for a career change, or hoping to work abroad. This job fair was put together with you in mind, ” said George Lubin, DOLE-Mountain Province  provincial head,  as he  encouraged attendees to explore opportunities, ask questions, apply confidently, and not be afraid to seize chances that could lead to a brighter future.

He  said  the fair could be a crucial first step—not just for the individuals, but for their families as well.

Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr.  and Vice Governor Francis Tauli also expressed their  support through inspiring messages.

“To all jobseekers, we have nothing to convey to you than to urge you  to grab the opportunity.”

In an interview, Dick Cabbay who was hired on the spot, expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the job fair that provided him a chance to find employment without spending much on time and money, and also provided him immediate feedback of his application.

“Agyamanak ditoy nga programa ta  dakkel ti intulungna nga makabirok kami ti trabaho mi,” he said.

Job openings in the  job fair on  April 23 to 24, 2025, were in engineering, hospitality, and medical sectors, as well as for skilled professionals such as electricians, plumbers, and barbers. (JDP/CGAS-PIA-CAR, Mountain Province)
