QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) MRT-3 warns the public to refrain from transacting with the Facebook page “Manila Transport.”
In an advisory, the MRT-3 said that the “Manila Transport” Facebook page is not affiliated with the agency. Thus, any statement made on said page, including promotions for free rides are not sanctioned by the rail line.
The public is reminded that MRT-3 has only one official Facebook page, which is this account and that all official announcements from MRT-3 will be communicated exclusively through this account.
Rail line users and the public are advised to exercise extreme caution when dealing with unofficial and suspicious accounts on social media.
Moreover, the MRT-3 reiterates that the agency will never request the bank account details of any passenger.
