MSMEs join financing services roadshow in Quirino

CABARROGUIS, Quirino (PIA)- -Around 60 Micro Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from the six towns of Quirino province participated in the Intellectual Property Office-Food and Drug Administration-Small Business Corporation Financing Services (IPO-FDA-SB CORP) Roadshow recently.

The roadshow was conducted by the regional and provincial offices of the Department of Trade and Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Division, in collaboration with the provincial government, Intellectual Property Office, and SB Corporation. 

DTI Provincial Director Mary Ann Corpuz Dy said the activity aims to promote and bring closer to MSMEs the services of the said offices with the main goal of enhancing their competitiveness through compliance with quality certifications, registration of intellectual assets, and linking them to various financial services. 

“These efforts are all geared towards improving productivity and expanding markets of local enterprises,” Corpuz-Dy said.    

For his part, Provincial Economic Enterprise Office Head Elmor Villaruel, who represented Governor Dax Cua, affirmed the provincial government’s support in promoting livelihood and entrepreneurship in the province.  

The topics discussed were intellectual property rights, registration, services, financing programs, and financial support options for small businesses. 

The MSMEs also took the opportunity to consult the participating institutions for their queries and registration applications. (TCB/PIA QUIRINO)
