QUEZON, Quezon (PIA)- The municipality of Quezon, Quezon was officially declared as Insurgency Free Municipality after having signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) last February 7 by Hon. Juan Escolano together with the Sangguniang Pambayan of Quezon, Quezon in partnership with the DILG 4A Regional Director Ariel O. Iglesia; AFP- LTC Joel Jonson, Commanding Officer, 85th IB, 2ID, PLTGEN Rhoderick Armamento, APC-SL Commander, RMFB4A, PLTCOL Agosto Asuncion, Quezon Police Provincial Office- PCOL Ledon Monte and Quezon MPS- PCPT Joel Caparos, Chief of Police of Quezon, Quezon.
According to Quezon Police Provincial Office, the parties involved have their significant roles, rules and responsibilities as stated in the MOU to ensure its success and continuous support in the implementation of socio-economic programs for the LGU and the enhanced law enforcement operation to prevent the resurgence of the CTGs in Quezon, Quezon for the uniformed personnel.
Moreover, the attainment of the Stable Internal Peace and Security is a product of dedication, hard work and team work of all agencies involved and different sectors from the community.
“We are now witnessing history. Four municipalities in the province were declared Insurgency Free. We will continue to push further towards the attainment of sustainable development in the whole province and this will not be possible without the untiring support of everyone lalo na ang ating mga kababayan, this means we could focus more on our core competency,” Director Monte said.
