QUEZON CITY (PIA) — Muntinlupa City Hall has been hailed a drug-free workplace, when it received recognition from the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), following months of tests, consultations, and hard work by officials and employees alike.

Mayor Ruffy Biazon and city officials joined DDB Chairperson Secretary Catalino Cuy for the unveiling of the drug-free workplace marker at City Hall, on Monday, September 25.

Residents and clients  can now be assured of the excellent civil service coming from the officials and employees.

This recognition is the culmination of months of fora and symposia and random drug tests that we conducted among all the employees and officials of the City Government. We are grateful for the cooperation of everyone and this gives another level of credibility to our service to Muntinlupeños,” Biazon said.

Under the City Government’s Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Office (DAPCO), Muntinlupa has been recognizing drug-free workplaces and residences throughout the city, including leading brands and villages.

The initiative to have City Hall declared drug-free started in December 2018 during the administration of then-Mayor Fresnedi with the issuance of Executive Order 29, but was hindered largely by the pandemic when it happened. This project was then continued by Biazon by virtue of the amended Ordinance No. 081-2023. (MUNTINLUPA PIO/PIA-NCR)
