TAGUIG CITY, (PIA) — The City Government of Muntinlupa launched its latest digital innovation, the iRespond Mobile Application on July 18, at the Crimson Hotel.
This app aims to provide individuals with quick access to emergency services. Users can immediately send alerts to the city’s emergency response team with a single tap on their phone, ensuring prompt and efficient help.
“As we launch iRespond app, we embark on a journey towards a future where disaster response is not just reactive but proactive and inclusive,” said Erwin O. Alfonso, Ph.D., the head of the Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DDRM).
The iRespond app has several key features designed to enhance emergency response and community safety.
- One-Touch Emergency Reporting enables users to quickly report disasters by sharing their present location and specific details, therefore streamlining the response process.
- Real-Time Incident Tracking allows the dispatch center to monitor incoming alerts in real time and quickly deploy necessary resources during emergencies.
- Community Alerts and Notifications give disaster-specific warnings and notifications, allowing citizens to respond quickly and wisely.

The launch is in line with Muntinlupa’s Smart City initiative, which integrates cutting-edge technology into the urban landscape to improve people’ quality of life. Muntinlupa City is establishing a safer, interconnected, more resilient community by implementing innovative solutions like iRespond.
However, while this application is currently limited to the map of Muntinlupa City, the City Government is exploring future expansions to broaden its reach.
