KASIBU, Nueva Vizcaya (PIA) — The Municipal Tourism and Culture Division of the Local Government Unit Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya has erected signage to promote and reinforce this town’s agri-eco-tourism identity as the Citrus Capital of the north.
The installation of the signage was done at the citrus farm of Ernesto Benhel in Barangay Binogawan, who also assisted the workers of the LGU’s General Services.
Municipal tourism officials said EHB Citrus Farm, the host of the ‘Citrus Capital of the North’ signage is known for its high-quality citrus produce and has been a cornerstone of Kasibu’s agricultural landscape.
The farm’s commitment to sustainable farming methods and community engagement has set a benchmark for other farms in the region.
“This initiative aligns with the broader goals of the Municipal Tourism Office to boost eco-tourism and showcase Kasibu’s rich cultural heritage and natural beauty,” said Municipal Tourism Officer Christian Daulayan.
He thanked the Didipio Mine for providing the signage.
The “Citrus Capital of Luzon” signage is expected to become a landmark, drawing attention to the area’s unique offerings and encouraging more tourists to explore the scenic landscapes.
The town of Kasibu will celebrate its annual Citrus Festival on August 7-10, 2024 with the theme: “Deeper for Stability, Resiliency and Productivity”.
