Naujan Education Assistance Program benefits 530 Grade 12 students

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro (PIA) — A total of 530 Grade 12 students from Naujan town received educational assistance from the municipal government of Naujan.

The municipal government disbursed a little over ₱1 million between January and June this year, with student-beneficiaries receiving ₱2,000 each.

The student-recipients are from the Porfirio G. Comia Memorial National High School, Apitong National High School, Bacungan National High School, and Doroteo S. Mendoza Sr. Memorial National High School.

The educational aid is part of the Naujan Educational Assistance Program (NEAP) which aims to alleviate the financial burdens faced by students and their families.

The NEAP is a key initiative of Naujan mayor Henry Joel Teves. It has become a cornerstone of the municipal government’s efforts to invest in the youth and their education.

During the distribution ceremony, Teves cited the importance of the NEAP in ensuring that students have the necessary resources to continue their studies without undue financial stress, stressing the importance of education in fostering the development of Naujan.

He has also advocated that no student should be left behind due to financial constraints. (JJGS/PIA MIMAROPA-Oriental Mindoro)
