QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — Navotas residents can now expect improved local government services with the launching of the “NavoRehistro” website, a citizen registration platform which aims to generate accurate population data.
Launched on May 20, 2024, NavoRehistro will serve as a tool to identify the accurate number of individuals and families residing, studying, or working in the city including the registered voters.
Having an accurate count of Navotas citizens will essentially allow the local government to exercise informed decision-making on the allocation of resources to programs and services that best meet the needs of its residents.
The creation of the NavoRehistro also forms part of the city’s digitalization initiatives to simplify transactions between the residents and the local government, particularly in terms of delivering services that are anchored on social welfare, healthcare, education, and livelihood.
“We urge every Navoteño to take part in this initiative. Through this program, the city government will be able to build and maintain a comprehensive database. This, in turn, will enable us to allocate resources effectively and implement services tailor-fit to the needs of our people,” said Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiangco.
Using the digital ID generated from the NavoRehistro website, the in-city barangays, health centers, and other public medical facilities will have an information system containing the records of residents for easy and streamlined identification.
To date, residents can also utilize the NavoRehistro website to file online business applications as well as pay for taxes and ordinance violation tickets.
Upon further development, the website will soon have a feature allowing eligible residents to apply for financial or livelihood assistance such as the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) and Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD).
