MANILA, (PIA) — The Department of Health (DOH), through the Health Facilities and Services Regulatory Bureau, once again recognized Navotas City Hospital (NCH) as one of the Top 15 Level 1 hospitals in the country.
This recognition was given to NCH for upholding quality healthcare while continuously seeking innovation in the delivery of patient care.
Dr. Spica Acoba, NCH Medical Director, and Dr. Roan Salafranca, Chief of Clinics, received the award during the 2023 DOH Hospital Star Awards ceremony held in Iloilo City.
“We will continue to draw inspiration from this milestone to meet the challenges and further provide excellent medical and health facilities to our constituents,” Mayor John Rey Tiangco said.
This year, Navotas inaugurated additional health facilities, including a new laboratory in Navotas City Hospital and a molecular laboratory at Brgy. NBBS Dagat-dagatan. It is also gearing for the construction of a super health center at Brgy. NBBS Kaunlaran.
“We are grateful to our hospital and healthcare workers for their unwavering commitment and compassion in caring for the health and wellness of Navoteños,” he added.
Winners of the DOH Hospital Star Awards were chosen through meticulous evaluation of their programs, activities, initiatives, and innovations in the following criteria: safety and infection control, service provision, customer and employee satisfaction, community-based activities, quality improvements, and coping with the COVID-19 pandemic.
