QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The National Capital Region Command (NCRCOM) of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through the Ground Task Group-National Capital Region, heightened its security operations across Metro Manila to ensure public safety this Holy Week.
Teams from NCRCOM’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and K9 units conducted intensified inspection in major bus terminals and public convergence areas to ensure the safety of passengers and the public.
Likewise, the NCRCOM deployed Joint Security Assistance Teams from the Community Support Program-Philippine Air Force (CSP-PAF) and Task Unit-Malabon to key churches across the metropolis to ensure the safety of churchgoers during religious activities.
The NCRCOM reaffirms its commitment as a reliable partner in nation-building, public service, and peacekeeping this Lenten season. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
