NCRPO suspends permit to carry firearms for international conference

QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) issued a suspension of permit to carry firearms in time for the 2024 Asia Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR) happening at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City this week.

In an advisory, NCRPO advises the public that the Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence (PTCFOR) is suspended within Metro Manila, which started Sunday, October 13 until Friday, October 18, 2024, during the ministerial conference.

During this period, only uniformed personnel from the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and other authorized agencies on official duty will be permitted to carry firearms.
