QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) is tightening its security as police personnel braces for hundreds of travelers returning from the Holy Week break.
NCRPO chief PMGen Anthony A. Aberin said security operations remain in full swing as vacationers begin to make their way back into Metro Manila following the Holy Week and long holiday break.
“NCRPO is ready. We will be there in the streets to deliver safety and security services to the people. This is the mandate that we are committed to perform all the time,” said Aberin.
To sustain full operational readiness, the NCRPO Regional Director, along with the Command Group, and all District Directors, continues to conduct inspections and monitor deployments on the ground.
Police presence remains across places of convergence, assistance desks remain functional, visibility patrols intensified, and coordination with terminal authorities and local government units.
NCRPO assures the public that metro cops continue to carry out their duties by providing direction, preventing crime, and assisting travelers in crowded terminals and long queues.
Meanwhile, NCRPO urges everyone to remain vigilant and cooperative, and to report any suspicious activity through established hotlines and help desks stationed across the region. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
