CEBU CITY, Cebu (PIA) – In celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM), the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) and the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) have announced the upcoming NSM Media Awards in October 2024.
This aims to recognize and honor outstanding media contributions in promoting official statistical information from the Philippine Statistical System (PSS) across various media platforms.
Government and private media entities are encouraged to submit entries across several categories for the 35th NSM Media Awards.
Listed below are the categories and minimum requirements for entries:

| 1. Best Statistical Reporting in Print/Online Media | At least three best news articles published in printed newspaper or in online news platform. |
| 2. Best Media Statistical Infographic | A statistical news published and presented in the form of data visualization/infographic, utilizing statistical data from the PSS. It is designed to be easily understood and effectively communicated with users and stakeholders. |
| TV Program | |
| 3. Best Statistical Reporting in TV Broadcast Media | At least three segments/documentaries aired on television. |
| Radio Program | |
| 4. Best Statistical Reporting in Radio Broadcast Media | At least three segments/documentaries aired on radio/tele-radio. |
| Open Category | |
| 5. Best Media Advocate for Statistics | An article/data visualization/segment or documentary published in print/online, or a report broadcasted on television/ radio/tele-radio with reference to statistical data of PSS that has made significant impact that influenced lawmakers to create a new/change policy or has a catalyst effect to people. |
Entries for the 35th NSM Media Awards must cover the period from August 2023 to July 2024.

Submission of entries can be through electronic mail, in-person, or courier, and should reach the NSM Secretariat no later than August 5, 2024, 5:00 PM.
