QUEZON CITY, (PIA) — The Department of Public Works and Highways National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) recently completed school buildings to address the shortage in classrooms at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School and Lucresia Kasilag Senior High School.
The DPWH’s Metro Manila 3rd District Engineering Office completed the construction of the four-storey school building at the Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School, with additional classrooms, and upgraded facilities in Caloocan City.
The completion of the project, through this initiative, helped address problems of classroom shortage, by providing additional eight classrooms, and an enhanced learning environment. The students can now enjoy a much more comfortable and spacious school community.

Likewise, the DPWH-NCR’s Quezon City 1st District Engineering Office completed the construction of a four-storey School Building at Lucresia Kasilag Senior High School within E. Abada Elementary School) located in Quezon City.
Aside from providing a total of eight classrooms, the four-storey building also incorporates a range of safety and security features intended to protect students, and staff in the event of an emergency, such as emergency exit stairs, painted steel grills around each floor, and fire protection systems.
The facility is also equipped with separate restrooms for males and females on each floor, including a concrete water tank holder and a PWD ramp to ensure accessibility.
The DPWH-NCR ensures that the new buildings not only meet the educational needs of our students but also adhere to the highest standards of safety. (JEG/PIA-NCR)
