VIGAN CITY, Ilocos Sur (PIA) — The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Ilocos Sur has added a new testing center for the Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) in Candon City, making it more convenient for aspiring public servants in nearby towns in the second district of Ilocos Sur.
The new testing site, which will be located at the Ilocos Sur Polytechnic State College, was announced by provincial director Marina Garcia of the CSC Ilocos Sur during an interview Wednesday, November 20.
Application for the professional and sub-professional CSE-PPT scheduled for March 2, 2025 will be conducted via online appointment at https://ocseas.csc.gov.ph/roi from November 19, 2024 to January 3, 2025.
She emphasized, “I appeal to the applicants to please submit their applications as early as possible, and please refrain from waiting for the last day.”
Garcia reminded that the acceptance of applications shall be closed any time before the deadline once the field office/satellite office has already reached the target number of applicants; however, she explained that if this happens early while there is still a significant number of aspirants who have scheduled their appointment, they may open more to accommodate the demand.
The provincial director also encouraged those who have difficulty or concerns with the online application to feel free to visit their field office at Zone 5, Bantay, Ilocos Sur, near the Quirino Stadium, and their satellite office at the Candon City Sports Arena in Bagani Campo, Bypass Road, Candon City.
“Our staff will be there to assist you with your needs and questions, so do not hesitate to reach out,” she said.
According to her, applicants must print the registration form back to back on an 8.5×13 bond paper once done with the online application, and make sure to bring it on their preferred date of appearance.
They should remember to also bring four passport-size pictures with a name tag and signature, an original and photocopy of valid identification card (not expired), and the P500 payment for the examination. (AMB/ATV, PIA Ilocos Sur)
