New PNP Building inaugurated in La Union

SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union (PIA)  — Personnel of the Agoo Municipal Police Station (MPS) now has wider and safer workplace following the inauguration of the  newly constructed police station in Agoo, La Union on November 10.

The three-storey building, with a lot area of 400 square meters, is a P5.6 million project funded by the Philippine National Police (PNP) while the land was donated by the local government of Agoo.

Police Regional Office-1 (PRO 1) Regional Director PBGen John Chua Jr, with local officials and personnel of the La Union Police Provincial Office (LUPPO), led the inauguration of the said police building.

In his message, Chua said the completion of the building signifies a major achievement in PRO 1’s adherence to the Chief of the PNP’s 5-point Agenda namely personnel morale and welfare, community engagement, integrity enhancement, ICT development, and honest law enforcement operations.

Chua assured the PNP will provide the public with the quality services they rightfully deserve.

“This symbolizes the spirit of unity and shared purpose between the government and the PNP towards the modernization and improvement of law enforcement facilities… ang serbisyo nating nagkakaisa ang solusyon upang maabot natin ang ating minimithing katahimikan at kaayusan,” he added.

Meanwhile, PMaj. Romel Centeno, Chief of Police of Agoo Police Station, said the new headquarter would be of great help to the local police to have a decent and fine-looking office for the personnel and for the constituents.

“We also solemnly pledge to make an extra effort to maintain the quality of service we are giving to the people,” said Centeno.

Further, Agoo Municipal Mayor Frank Sibuma vowed to fully support the PNP’s vision in having a progressive and peaceful municipality.  (JCR/MJTAB/KJCR, PIA La Union)
