QUEZON CITY -- The Bureau of Quarantine encourages those who will not be travelling abroad to forego their application for a “yellow card” to give the slots to those with immediate travel abroad.
“Sa ngayon po ay hindi po natin sila ini-encourage na kumuha ng Yellow Card kung hindi po gagamitin sa labas ng bansa. Kasi po, sobrang dami po nang gustong kumuha ng Yellow Card, nawawalan po ng slot iyong mga talaga pong aalis na papunta sa ibang bansa,” (We do not encourage that you apply for a yellow card if it will not be for travelling abroad because there are many people who want to get a yellow card who actually are going abroad who are losin their slots), said Bureau of Quarantine Director Dr. Roberto Salvador, Jr. during the Laging Handa Briefing Saturday.
He said Filipinos can secure the ICVP (International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis) or yellow card by booking an appointment through the Bureau of Quarantine's website, adding they only need to present their passport and vaccination card.
"So ito pong ICVP (International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis) po, puwede po tayong makakuha nito, kailangan po muna mag-book tayo doon sa online booking system ng Bureau of Quarantine. So once naka-book na po tayo, nakakuha na tayo ng schedule, in one to two hours po ay puwede na pong makuha ang Yellow Card,” Salvador said.
He added that the following Bureau of Quarantine offices can issue the yellow cards, main office at the Port Area, Manila, SM Mall of Asia and satellite stations of the statios of Bureau of Quarantine – Batangas station, Subic, La Union, Laoag, Cebu, Davao and Cagayan de Oro.
Salvador said more satellite stations will be opened such as in SM North EDSA, Eastwood and McKinley and in other provincial stations in General Santos, Kalibo, Bacolod, Palawan, Legazpi. (MACV/DDCU)
