Sultan Kudarat Province hosts PLEDS meeting


ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat (PIA) -- The Provincial Government of Sultan Kudarat hosted the Peace, Law Enforcement and Development Support (PLEDS) cluster meeting of Soccsksargen Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) on Thursday, August 19 at the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Capitol here.

Regional Peace and Order Council Chairman and Sultan Kudarat Governor Suharto Mangudadatu, 6th Infantry Division Commander MGen. Juvymax Uy, and PNP 12 Regional Director PBGen. Michael John Dubria led the re-orientation together with the regional and provincial directors of PLEDS XII member agencies.

Also present via zoom were National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Executive Director Allen Capuyan, and Department of National Defense Usec. Cesar Yano.

Accomplishments pertaining to dismantling CTGs, clearing of affected barangays, joint law enforcement operations, strategic forward deployment of mobile forces, and RTF-ELCAC activities, and relevant issues concering the peace and order in the reigon were discussed during the activity.

All cluster members reiterated their full support and cooperation to the attainment of peace and order and to strengthen the campaign against terrorism in the region. (ORVR/PIA-12)
